The Aware Project (www.awareproject.org) hosts a series of monthly Psychedelic Awareness Salon events in Los Angeles and San Diego. We are creating a connected and educated community that feels passionately about balancing the conversation about psychedelics.

DESCRIPTION
Shadow work is a process of uncovering the aspects of personality that we're often completely unaware of. Join our panel for a discussion on how to reveal, accept, and integrate the shadow, find the gifts hidden within it, and learn how medicines supports this process.

BIOS
Sitaramaya Sita has traveled, worked and studied extensively in the Amazon for the past 17 years. She is a spiritual herbalist, pusangera and plant wisdom practitioner formally trained in the Shipibo ayahuasca tradition. She is the Founder of PlantTeachers, dedicated to cultivating entheogenic awareness, and Producer of the Visionary Convergence conference. She stewards a 70 acre land conservation project in the Peruvian Amazon. She lectures, teaches, and works with individuals and groups in ceremonies and guides plant dietas. She is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and currently trains, teaches and practices to heal personal, institutional and cultural trauma. She is an art curator and is organizing and curating "Ayahuasca & Visionary Art: A coming together of cultures, ” the art space and show at AYA2019 in Girona, Spain. Visit PlantTeachers.com

Helaine Z. Harris, LMFT is a multi-sensory intuitive, shamanic healer, psychotherapist and spiritual business coach who empowers clients to manifest their greatest potential. She has trained for over 30 years in Shamanism and incorporates that work at An Awakening Center™.

Dr. Marie Mbouni, Marie is an MD Anesthesiologist and a mystic, shamanic and energy healer, spiritual guide, author, facilitator of sacred ceremonies and retreats, Creativity Coach and World Traveler. Marie is the author of Reclaim Your Gifts, and co-author of The New Feminine Evolutionary.

Moderator: Mareesa Stertz is an LA-based filmmaker and KRI-certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher who's spent most of her life unraveling the impact of emotional experiences on the psyche. Her quest has taken around the world, giving talks at festivals and filming the stories of healing with shamans in Peru to holy men in India. She programs speakers and events at The Aware Project, and has screened her work at numerous conferences internationally. Her films have been featured by Viceland, NBC Universal, 60SecDocs, IFC, SPIN, Participant Media, and at film festivals around the world.

FEATURED MUSICIAN
TONY MOSS is a visual and recording artist, event producer, and founder of I.AM.LIFE, a non-profit event production company focused on interconnectivity. His work is a synthesis of passions in art, spirituality & science, with emphasis on the evolution of human consciousness and potential. Pre-sale tickets are $15 and door price is $20. We have a limited number of volunteer positions if you can't afford the ticket price (please email hello@awareproject.org, first come, first serve).

The space is located just off the 101 between Hollywood and Silverlake. Please enter the building and go up the stairs. Our room will be just down the hall to the left.

PARKING
There are plenty of parking options. There is an underground parking garage at 1110 North Western Ave north of Thymele. Another option is in the strip mall with the Subway and T-Mobile at the intersection of Western and Santa Monica or across the street, behind the bakery with the black metal fencing. Allow extra time because traffic in the area can be a bit intense.
