Join Daniel McQueen as he shares stories of his journey from trying to be a somewhat normal human being, to becoming an underground psychedelic guide, to being a legal, above ground practicing psychedelic plant medicine specialist in the United States. He’s grateful to share what he has learned along the way, and the many pitfalls he’s encountered, so he can support others interested in pursuing this core professional transition into the light of a very controversial field. Daniel will share what it has really been like to manage a psychedelic therapy center in the U.S. and will also describe two psychedelic programs he has helped implement that are potentially world transforming technologies: Cannabis-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy and the Extended-State DMT Expedition (DMTx).

How does one best integrate the insights from a psychedelic experience?
Deva has been a part of over 400 sessions and witnessed firsthand the transitions people go through before and after working with psychedelics. From this unique perspective, he will share integration techniques that have proven most effective and the role a non-dualistic perspective plays in releasing trauma and creating radical shifts in our belief systems.
Deva will lead us in a discussion with exercises that assist in integrating this understanding on a mind, body, and soul level.

Carol will discuss hypnosis and hypnotherapy as both an alternative and a complement to the psychedelic experience. Carol will also share about the process of integrating psychedelic experiences appropriately and meaningfully into our lives—integration is everything! She will also present information about the new modality developed by Daniel McQueen of Medicinal Mindfulness; cannabis-assisted therapy and cannabis psychedelic journeys. This novel approach to intentional, ceremonial cannabis use has been demonstrated to be just as deeply powerful and profound as psychedelic medicines such as ayahuasca, DMT, psilocybin, LSD, and MDMA.

As scientific research expands in psychedelic medicine, public opinion is rapidly shifting. As psychedelic medicines seem poised to be accepted by the FDA, the broader medical community, and, increasingly, in society's mainstream, the right questions must be asked to ensure human rights-based and justice-informed policy reform. Even with broader acceptance of these compounds, many people will still face criminalization and prosecution for possession, disproportionately affecting communities of color. It's time to start talking about reforming drug policy so that psychedelic interventions are not only destigmatized by science but also accessible to all, including the historically marginalized and oppressed. Join us for the first, and long-overdue Aware Project panel in which we discuss the next steps of psychedelic activism and affecting drug policy reform that serves the greater good of public health, social justice, and human rights.
